The Australian Embassy in Lisbon invites all eligible entities to apply for funding through the Aid Programme Direct (DAP) 2020-2021 to Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe.

The Direct Aid Programme (DAP) is a small grants programme managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that works directly with communities in developing countries. It focuses on supporting small-scale aid activities that deliver practical, tangible results.

DAP supports local community efforts to reduce poverty and involves a wide range of partners, including non-governmental organisations, community groups, educational institutions, health facilities and local governments.

DAP projects cover a range of sectors such as education, health, water and sanitation, environmental protection, women's empowerment and gender equality, support for people with disabilities, economic livelihoods, food security and human rights.
