Deadline: 16 June 2024

Applications are now open for the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Programme (ADEL) 2024 . Young leaders from across the Atlantic basin and Africa who have demonstrated leadership and initiative in their fields; who wish to contribute to shaping the regional and global agenda in politics, finance, business, civil society and many other areas; who are eager to interact with their peers and elders; and who seek to promote and strengthen ties across the Atlantic can apply for this programme.

The Policy Centre for the New South (PCNS) is organising the 13th edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Conference, a high-level conference that brings together influential public and private sector leaders from across the Atlantic Basin for an open and informal discussion on interregional issues. As they believe it is crucially important to involve young leaders in policy-making and narrative-setting, PCNS encourages intergenerational dialogue during the conference and beyond, between leading experts, senior officials and high-potential change agents, through its Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Programme (ADEL).

About the Programme

The ADEL programme is PCNS's flagship programme for young professionals, held three days before the Atlantic Dialogues conference. Each year, this programme brings together 30 to 50 young leaders from across the Atlantic basin. These rising leaders have demonstrated leadership skills and have a strong sense of commitment to the social and economic issues facing their communities in particular and the world in general.

In 2024, 40 young professionals will be selected to take part in the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Programme. The ADEL programme will hold its 11th edition from 8 to 12 December 2024 in Rabat, Morocco. The Emerging Leaders will then join the Atlantic Dialogues Conference from 12 to 14 December.

Cost

  • For the 40 selected participants, PCNS will cover economy class airfares to and from Morocco. In addition, local transport, meals and hotel accommodation during the programme and conference dates will be covered by the conference organisers.
