Energy innovation start-ups can win 10,000 euros, gain recognition and become part of an international network
The Start Up Energy Transition (STE) 2023 prize has opened for applications. SET is an international competition for start-ups from around the world working on ideas that affect the global energy transition and climate change.
In the last six years, the award has received more than 2,700 nominations from over 100 countries. SET is powered by the German Energy Agency (dena), in co-operation with the World Energy Council.
The award categories for STE 2023 are:
- Buildings and construction
- clean energy and storage
- industry
- mobility and transport
- Access to quality energy and Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG-7)
The 100 best entries will be included in the annual SET100 list publication, distributed to investors, companies and political stakeholders around the world. 15 finalists will win return flights from Berlin, and accommodation for two start-up representatives, to attend the SET Tech Festival and the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue. The category winners will each receive 10,000 euros in prize money and additional networking and global visibility benefits.
