Nominations are now open for the Hillman Prize 2024 . Since 1950, the Sidney Hillman Foundation has honoured journalists, writers and public figures who pursue investigative journalism and public policy in the service of the common good. Sidney Hillman was the founding president of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, a predecessor union of Workers United, SEIU. Sidney Hillman, an architect of the New Deal, fought to build a vibrant labour movement that extended beyond the factory floor and encompassed all aspects of workers' lives.

New in 2024, the foundation will administer the SEIU Prize for Reporting on Racial and Economic Justice. All entries for the Hillman Prize will automatically be considered for this award as well.

Prize
- The winners of the Hillman Prize will receive an honorarium of US$ 5,000 and a certificate at its annual ceremony to be held in New York City on Tuesday 7 May 2024.
Eligibility
- Open to journalists from all over the world, although the work should be widely accessible to the US public.
- The stories can be on any subject, but they prioritise entries with an impact on the US.
- You can nominate your own work or that of someone else. You can register on your own or be registered by your establishment/organisation.
- There is no limit to the number of entries a vehicle can make.
