In a bid to promote inclusive and gender-sensitive innovation, the UNICEF Venture Fund, in collaboration with GITEX Africa, is presenting the Gender Sensitive Innovation Challenge (GRIC). This initiative seeks to address structural barriers in the technology sector and promote diversity and inclusion in the development of cutting-edge solutions for marginalised communities, especially children and women.

The challenge:

GRIC focuses on three main areas:
1. investing in diverse and under-represented founders, with a special emphasis on women founders.
2. Increase the availability of digital products and services adapted to the needs of vulnerable populations.
3. Facilitate user-inclusive design in innovation development processes.

Is your company developing innovative gender-sensitive solutions in Africa? Apply now to GRIC and stand a chance of being one of five outstanding companies shortlisted for an award. The winners will receive:

- Recognition at the GITEX Africa Summit in Marrakech, Morocco.
- Guidance and technical assistance from venture fund specialists to improve investment readiness.
- Support to navigate the process of sourcing and selecting venture funds.
