The EIC has been renamed Business Innovation Accelerated (BIA) with the aim of providing high-quality entrepreneurial training and capacity building to young Nigerians in all six geopolitical zones of the country. Unemployment has reached unacceptable levels for the Nigerian economy to remain secure. Over the years, youth unemployment has been on the rise, which has led to increased insecurity, social vices, slow economic growth, inflation and other inherent difficulties. The BOI-LBS Business Innovation Accelerator is therefore intended to boost job creation, significantly improve the business success of SMEs and reduce loan default rates due to business failure. The Centre will also provide an ecosystem to support and improve the technical, managerial, financial and leadership skills of entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

ELIGIBILITY
The following key criteria will be used when assessing potential participants:

• Be at least 18 years old. Entrepreneurial experience would be an advantage. It can be a start-up or it can have been established for a few years. Most importantly, the company must be solving a problem or satisfying a need and must be scalable.
• Be a citizen or legal resident of Nigeria.
• Be willing to commit to the training calendar.
• Special attention should be paid to young people and women.
• Two letters of recommendation.
