Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a Federal Government agency with a mandate to develop indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for master's and doctoral scholarships abroad for specific programmes at selected institutions under its PTDF Scholarship Abroad Programme for the 2023/2024 academic session.
VALUE
The prize includes:
- The supply of aeroplane tickets,
- Payment of health insurance,
- Payment of tuition and bench fees (where applicable), e
- The granting of subsidies to cover accommodation and living expenses.
ELIGIBILITY
Master's requirements
- A minimum of an Upper Second Class qualification (2.1) in your first degree or a Lower Second Class (2.2) with relevant industry experience
- Must have completed the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Must be computer literate
- Have 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Maths.
- Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) stating the reason(s) for the proposed study, its relevance to the sector and its expected impact on national development.
- Candidates must have their National Identity Number (NIN) and verification will be required (NIMC verification fees apply) before the apply for the scholarship.
PhD requirements
- Must have completed the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Must be computer literate
- A minimum of Lower Second Class (2.2) in your first degree and a good second degree certificate
- A research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry (of no more than five pages) that includes the following:
- Title
- Introduction
- Research Problem
- Aim
- Research Questions/Objectives
- Scope
- Summarised Literature
- Methodology
- Expected results only when necessary
