Mawazo Institute Scholarship Opportunities for African PhD Students
The Mawazo Institute is pleased to announce the 2025 Scholarship Programme for African female PhD students. This programme aims to support exceptional African women pursuing PhDs in fields related to African development.
The scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and a strong commitment to the development of the African continent. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited doctoral programme at a recognised university in Africa or abroad.
The scholarship programme offers a range of benefits, including financial support, mentoring and professional development opportunities. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, tuition fees and other research-related expenses. They will also be paired with experienced mentors who will provide guidance and support throughout their studies.
In addition, the fellows will have access to a network of professionals and academics working in the field of African development. They will take part in workshops, conferences and other events that will enable them to build relationships and share knowledge.
