The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF), in partnership with Kim's family and friends, seeks to ensure the types of stories and provide two grants of US$ 5,000 to journalists to help bend the world toward Kim's vision.
Eligibility criteria
All candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Affiliated or freelance journalists who identify as women or non-binary with three (3) or more years of professional experience working in news media from anywhere in the world. Internships do not count towards professional experience.
- Non-native English speakers must have excellent written and spoken English skills to fully participate in and benefit from the program.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate interest from a publisher or have a proven track record of publishing in prominent media outlets.
- The grants will be awarded to cover costs related to reporting, including travel (flights, ground transportation, drivers), logistics, insurance, visa fees, and payment for fixers/translators.
