For the fourth year running, Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact is collaborating with One Young World to offer scholarships to 12 aspiring young healthcare leaders from around the world to take part in the Virtual 2021 Johnson & Johnson One Young World Programme.

About the Award: The Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact Team supports and advocates for the people on the frontline who are at the centre of care delivery. The Team leads Johnson & Johnson's global partnership with One Young World and believes that changing the trajectory of health for humanity requires putting people first, so that communities and health systems have the capacity to meet the health needs of the world's most vulnerable people. Through its global and community-based partnerships and programmes, the Team aims to support the next generation of global and community health leaders to develop the skills and tools needed to boost health and well-being in underserved communities.

Eligibility:
- Ages 18 to 30*
- Nationals from all countries are eligible to apply for this programme.
- Young leaders of non-governmental organisations, social enterprises, community organisations or individual leaders/entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact in their local community by providing care to vulnerable people, their families and communities. This can include activities carried out by nurses, midwives, community health workers, formal/informal (family) carers and health professional trainees (clinical and non-clinical).
- Healthcare professionals classified as Civil Servants in their country of origin will need approval from their employer.
- Important: Selected scholars must be available to commit 10% of their time to the programme during the 6-month programme period (March 2021 - August 2021).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Commitment to delivering positive change.
- Understanding of the main local and/or global issues.
- Track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas Interest and engagement in sharing and learning from others.
- Skills: enthusiastic, proactive, creative, eager to improve, not afraid to change the status quo, team player, good communicator and project manager.

Premium amount: Centred around the One Young World Summit 2021, the programme offers accelerated coverage of learning opportunities:
- Access to participate virtually in the One Young World Summit 2021 in Munich
- Participation in the Johnson & Johnson One Young World Programme 2021
- Take part in an accelerated six-month learning and development programme, including global kick-off and debrief calls, virtual learning sessions and global ScopeAthons (working and learning with other NGOs and/or social enterprises to create practical, viable and innovative solutions in the field of climate change, public health, etc.)
- Individual coaching with Johnson & Johnson senior leaders
- Buddy Team Support: Teams of Johnson & Johnson OYW 2021 delegates, called buddy teams, supporting scholars pre, during and post Summit in furthering their aspiration and creating innovative solutions based on pre-defined needs.
Duration of the Award: 6-month programme (March 2021 - August 2021).

- A shortlist of candidates will be contacted in December 2020 and invited to submit a personal video statement and a letter of reference.
- The successful candidates will be invited to take part in a video interview with One Young World in January 2021.
- All applicants will be informed of the final outcome of their application in February 2021.
