The Tony Blair Institute is looking for seven candidates who will seek to solve some of the world's toughest political challenges. They will spend 100 days developing actionable ideas that seek to realize the transformative potential of technology.
Anyone with a unique and original idea can apply, provided that the idea solves a specific problem, but it must also be pragmatic, that is, feasible to implement in practice.
This year, the Institute is looking for people who can add specific expertise to the Technology and Public Policy team, leading projects or workflows in new areas of the Institute. Therefore, the main areas where they are looking for ideas are:
- AI and ML
- Space production, governance, satellites, and much more.
- Web3 & Inclusion
- Web 3 & Future of Work
- Biotech
- Digital government and citizen engagement
- Clean technology
How does it work?
The scholarships will operate during 100 days from August 2022With the expectation that fellows will contribute to the Institute's scholarship policy revenues by co-authoring publications on the aforementioned topics. If time permits, fellows may be authorized to develop their own blog or a piece of reflection.
Fellows are expected to participate in relevant stakeholder engagement and promotional activity, sharing and engaging with existing and new networks.
Where will it take place?
We expect the fellowships to be primarily virtual, with fellows interacting with the team and developing policy products online.
There will be regular opportunities to participate in events and other discussions about technology organized by the Institute. The costs of these trips will be covered by the Institute.
