We are excited to announce the opening of applications for UN-Habitat's Youth Advisory Board (YAB) 2023-2025.
Youth Voices at the Heart of Sustainable Urban Development
Created in 2008, the Youth Advisory Board is an advisory body that provides invaluable insights and recommendations to UN-Habitat, with a focus on sustainable urban development strategies. Over the years, the YAB has played a key role in integrating young people's perspectives and advocating for youth participation in UN-Habitat's programmes and major events.
In its current mandate, the YAB is dedicated to achieving equal gender representation and promoting the participation of each of UN-Habitat's six regions. This dynamic council is co-organised by the Metropolitan Municipality of Balikesir (Türkiye), which will host World Habitat Day in 2023.
Be the change you want to see
This is your chance to actively shape the future of urban development and ensure that the voices of youth are not only heard, but valued.
