The Mérieux Foundation is offering 5,000 euros for projects that contribute to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Projects whose main beneficiaries are mums and/or children will be prioritised.
Project Eligibility Criteria
- Only projects will be studied implemented by local organisations (projects must be submitted by the local structure responsible for the project)
- Compatibility with existing local initiatives
- Objectives and activities related to and consistent with the Mérieux Foundation's mission and centred on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, hepatitis, neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases that represent significant public health issues
- Projects based on local needs assessment
- Projects they propose concrete solutionsin addition to education and sensitisation
- Projects that adapt to the target population and are from long term
- Projects that adopt a global approach to healthincluding physical, social and psychological aspects
- Projects with direct impact on the mother and/or child
- Respect for ethical principles and gender equality project implementation
- Strong local involvement: links with local authorities, local associations and beneficiaries
