Registration for the IRENA Youth Forum 2024: The New Generation of Decision Makers are now open. The International Renewable Energy Agency's (IRENA) fifth IRENA Youth Forum: The Next Generation of Decision Makers will convene in April 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the fourteenth session of the IRENA Assembly (15-18 April 2024). The Assembly is the Agency's highest decision-making authority, where Heads of State/Government, Ministers and global stakeholders meet to discuss and advance the energy transition.
The IRENA Youth Forum 2024 will strengthen youth networks and connect them with global leaders, government representatives and IRENA experts. The Forum will create a space for young people to contribute to the Agency's mission of accelerating the deployment of renewable energy to achieve climate goals and advance the sustainable development agenda.

Cost
- After selection, full sponsorship, including travel and accommodation, will be provided for up to 35 participants.
Eligibility
- Interested young people can come from anywhere in the world. The event strives for a global and balanced geographical representation of young people and strongly encourages applications from young people in LDCs, SIDS and developing countries.
- Candidates can be between 16 and 35 years old.
Application
The deadline for individual applications is 31 January 2024 (midnight Abu Dhabi time). Participants will be selected on the basis of their commitment to accelerating progress in renewable energy deployment.
