The theme of the 2022 edition of the World Forum for Democracy is "Democracy: A New Hope?"

The core content of the Forum will consist of discussions on successful initiatives and actions, which have real-life initiatives as a starting point. General guiding principles will then be outlined to encourage and support future policy responses and actions on the ground.

In this context, the Youth Department will invite 50-60 young people to participate and engage with decision-makers and opinion formers in a reflection on the issue of Democracy and Information.

Candidates must apply in 2 parts:

• One application form must be filled in (log in or create an account first)
  
• A short, 1-minute video must be uploaded to YouTube, with the link attached to the application form. more information here
  
• The application form must be submitted before 13:00 (1:00 pm) on Tuesday 2 August 2022 CET, together with a letter of support from your sending NGO/organisation, if applicable. In the event of technical problems using the platform, please send an e-mail to young-applicants[at]coe.int .
