Deadline: 31 January 2024

Applications are now open for the World Justice Challenge 2024 . The World Justice Challenge is a global competition and activity support programme to identify, recognise and promote good practices and high-impact initiatives that protect and promote the rule of law.

The Challenge compiles an evidence base for successful rule of law approaches, increases their strategic visibility and strengthens an emerging network of rule of law advocates. The Challenge competition invites entries for initiatives that address critical rule of law challenges around the world, in specific thematic categories. For the 2024 competition, the theme is The Rule of Law Foundation for Democracy, focusing on effective strategies to strengthen the rule of law to reverse autocracy and rebuild trust in democratic governance. Previous themes have been access to justice, the fight against corruption and open government, accountable governance and equal rights and non-discrimination.
