The Decarbonisation Technology Challenge invites innovators from all over the world to take part in a chance to win up to US$ 1 million in pilot opportunities with ADNOC, to demonstrate the potential for reducing greenhouse gases.

Ten finalists will be selected to present their technology to a panel of judges in the United Arab Emirates in December 2023.

What they're looking for

This is an opportunity for companies that develop innovative solutions aligned with the following technological areas:

  1. Carbon capture, utilisation and storage
  2. Nature-based solutions
  3. Digital solutions for decarbonisation
  4. Reducing Oil and Gas Emissions
  5. New Energies
  6. Advanced materials for decarbonisation

Entry Criteria

  • Your company should be developing a solution that is aligned with the focus areas and that can help ADNOC reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • The technology must be piloted within ADNOC, and not yet deployed globally.
  • The technology must be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 to 8 inclusive.
  • The technology must be suited to the climatic conditions of the United Arab Emirates.
  • You must ensure that at least 1-2 representatives from your company will be available in December 2023 to attend and present at the final event in the United Arab Emirates.
