This challenge involves young people developing and curating political ideas for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

About the Award: The aim of the challenge is:
- Identify and disseminate innovative ideas, solutions and actions that will maximise the benefits of the AfCFTA, especially for women and young people
- To increase the capacity of young Africans to develop and implement policies
- Integrating young Africans into AfCFTA's policy-making processes

Eligibility:
- Candidates must be nationals of one of the 55 AU member states
- Applicants must be between 15 and 35 years old. We strongly encourage submissions from female candidates
- Engaged in political/commercial development or interested in building experience in political/commercial development

Premium amount: The 10 finalists will benefit from:-
- Development of an AfCFTA implementation plan for a country or regional economic community, with mentoring from leading trade experts, captains of industry, trade negotiators.
- Masterclass on 'maximising opportunities in AfCFTA' led by senior policy officials and leading young entrepreneurs
- Online publication and presentation of the AfCFTA Implementation Plan to high-level policy officials
