Applications are now open for the Giving Joy Grants 2024 . Giving Joy awards unique micro-grants to women-led initiatives - providing women entrepreneurs with essential resources to start businesses, acquire skills, sustain operations or improve their ideas around the world.
The benefits of these micro-grants cascade through communities. They strengthen skills, expand access to resources, create jobs and income. Grant activities translate into greater opportunities and services for all those affected by the beneficiary's efforts. In 2023, they proudly awarded a record 13 grants to individuals and organisations in 12 countries. The 13 grants directly benefited up to 380 women, providing them with essential business skills and knowledge about women's health and rights.
Grant
- Grants will range from US$ 250 to US$ 500 and will be awarded in instalments upon completion of specific results. The amount of the award will be determined by Giving Joy based on the proposed activities and the availability of funding.
Eligibility
- Open to women aged 18 and over.
- You can apply for a grant from any country, state or territory in the world.
- You can propose activities in any area, trade, occupation or craft. However, your business/organisation/idea must focus on women, girls and/or families. And all activities must be LEGAL!
- Grant applications are accepted in any language that can be translated with Google Translate.

They assess your application on the basis of the following four criteria:
- The degree of alignment with the Giving Joy mission.
- The proposed grant activities are innovative, creative and will have a positive impact on women, their families and communities.
- The effective use of grant funding for the proposed activities.
- The impact of the grant is clearly outlined, well articulated and measurable.
Application
They ONLY accept online applications. They DO NOT consider unsolicited proposals or funding requests received by e-mail. Once you have submitted your application online, you will receive a pop-up message informing you that your application has been submitted and accepted. They do NOT send separate email confirmations.
