D-Prize is looking for entrepreneurs who can create a new non-profit organisation or social enterprise that offers an existing poverty solution to thousands, perhaps even millions, of people. We've included more than a dozen goods and services that are thought to reduce poverty. Entrepreneurs are now tasked with developing strategies to distribute to those in need.
They will reward the most promising teams with up to US$ 20,000 to launch their new organisation wherever extreme poverty exists.

ELIGIBILITY
The D-Prize is for aspiring entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world, of any age and any background. Most of our award winners have neither launched nor raised any funding.
They will consider funding existing organisations only if you are distributing an existing intervention and have a high-risk capital requirement that cannot be supported by your current donors or income.
Existing organisations applying for the D-Prize must have been operating for a maximum of 18 months and have raised no more than US$ 30,000 in external funding.
At the moment, they are only able to assess applications submitted in English. However, your English doesn't have to be perfect to apply, and grammar and vocabulary mistakes won't be penalised. They just want to understand your idea.
EVALUATION PROCESS
1ST ROUND
Send your concept note and CV(s). They receive 2000+ applications per competition.
2ND ROUND
The best-placed 5%s are invited to answer short questions. You'll have two weeks to write them up and send them in.
FINAL STAGE
Interviews with leading entrepreneurs by phone and e-mail. The richest 1% will receive up to US$ 20,000 to launch.
LAUNCH
You'll spend the next three months using your talent to start an enterprise that can grow and help millions of people
