Overview
The African Union Commission and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) are looking for outstanding organisations that promote the education and equitable and inclusive technical and vocational training (TVET) across Africa. If your programmes focus on providing equal access to TVET for women, girls, marginalised communities or people with disabilities, this is your chance to shine!

Aim of the Competition
This competition aims to identify and celebrate innovative practices that improve equity and inclusion in TVET. The selected practices will contribute to a comprehensive digital toolbox hosted on the ASPYEE (African Skills Portal for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship), aligning with the African Union's theme for 2024: "Educating an African fit for the 21st century - Building systems that are fit for the 21st century". educational resilient for greater access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and relevant learning in Africa."
The Toolbox will present a diverse range of successful methods to support the implementation of inclusive TVET policies and strategies, helping AU Member States in their efforts to integrate marginalised groups and review the Continental TVET Strategy.

Prizes
- Three main organisations : Each will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two representatives on the Africa Skills Week 2024 in Accra, Ghana (*14-18 October 2024). The prize includes travel, accommodation and meals. *Where necessary, the travel costs of the personal assistants of people with disabilities will be covered, in addition to the costs of the two nominated representatives from each of the three organisations with the highest scores.
About Africa Skills Week 2024
Organised by the government of Ghana and the African Union, Africa Skills Week 2024 is centred on "Creating jobs for the 21st century: Unlocking the transformative potential of skills development for sustainable employability". The event will feature a youth pavilion, study visits, panel discussions, networking opportunities and the Expo Education Innovative in Africa.
