Registration for the Art On Climate 2023 International Illustration Competition are now open. Art on Climate is an international illustration competition held around the world that aims to raise awareness of the issue of action against climate change.
Organised by Fingertips Company Limited and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors, the Art On Climate International Illustration Competition is inviting illustrators from the Asia-Pacific region to create artworks that address the theme of climate change. Its aim is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions to tackle climate change and to inspire the public to make meaningful changes to shape their lifestyles in response to this global challenge.
Competition themes
Participants are invited to submit original work on the theme of "climate change". Participants should use one or more of the statements below as a starting point for their work:
- Shape the future with your lifestyle: Climate change is a global challenge, we all face the same challenge wherever you live. Our daily life practices can make a change, shaping a better future for us all. Our choices of public transport, energy-saving electrical appliances and use of eco-friendly materials can go a long way towards saving the environment.
- Sustaining ourselves in the future of climate change: Climate change means that we will need to adapt to new habits in order to sustain ourselves. Global temperature change means changes to the climate, the marine ecosystem and animal habitats. It will also affect our forms of construction, labour practices and food chain, etc. While we work together to prevent climate change from getting worse, it's also important to sustain ourselves in a changing environment.
- Partner with others to develop solutions using technology: While you start fighting climate change, you can make a bigger difference by partnering with others to form a more influential group. With today's advanced technology, it's convenient and easy to share your ecological routines with others to raise awareness of climate change globally.
- Creating change in real life through collective action: the more people and organisations that make climate change a priority, the more power will come together to shape the paths to a sustainable future. With more countries pledging to commit to "net zero emissions" by 2050, collective action to fight climate change has been raised to the highest level. Unity is the greatest force for changing the future.
- Providing a better standard of living through climate action: Different countries are working together to combat climate change. Their actions not only benefit the environment, but also bring meaning to our daily lives. Switching energy systems from fossil fuels to renewable energy will bring us cleaner air. Creating more green jobs and improving public health will give us a better standard of living. Preserving animal and plant ecosystems can build a more prosperous world economy for all.
