The 2nd annual Allard Prize photo, which recognises photographic excellence reflecting the ideals of the Allard Award, is judged by the Allard Awards Committee and Maxe Fisher, Associate Professor, Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media, Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Photographers are encouraged to submit entries throughout the year. Entries should reflect themes of courage and leadership in the fight against corruption, especially through the promotion of transparency, accountability, the rule of law and human rights and/or anti-corruption in general.
Requirements
The Competition is only open to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their country of residence at the time of registration ("Participants"). Members of the Allard Prize Photography Competition Jury, the Allard Prize Committee and the Allard Prize Advisory Board are not eligible to participate during their terms as members of the Jury, Committee or Advisory Board and for one year after the end of their terms.
Entrances
(a) Photographs that infringe or violate someone else's copyright are not eligible.
b Participants may submit up to a maximum of four photographs in each cycle of the Competition. Submission of more than four photographs may result in all photographs submitted by the Participant being declared ineligible.
c Participants represent and
ensure that: i. the situation, context and location of the photograph are accurately represented in the Entry;
ii. no individual was harmed in order to obtain entry;
iii. It is unlikely that recognisable individuals or groups would risk reprisals, violence or rejection in their communities as a result of the exposure of their identity or personal history through the publication of their image;
iv. Where possible, permission to photograph has been sought and received from all recognisable vulnerable subjects, such as children or disabled individuals, depicted in an Entry; and
v. no payment or other form of compensation was provided to the subjects in exchange for their photograph or consent.
Benefits
- Each winning photograph will receive CAD $1,000 and will be featured on the Allard Prize website, with a brief description and the photographer's name, for six months. The winning entries will be archived as winners on the website afterwards.
