Deadline: 30 November 2023

Applications are now open for the Future of Religious Heritage (FRH) 2023 Photo Contest . Do you love religious heritage as much as the FRH? Whether you are passionate about photography or simply enjoy taking beautiful pictures during your holidays, this is your chance to share them with an international community of heritage lovers and win a prize for it.

Every year, the FRH Photo Contest selects the 10 best photographs of religious heritage from around the world. The world is full of unknown religious architectural wonders, fascinating artefacts and unique celebrations. Help them highlight the beauty and diversity of Europe's religious heritage!

There are three categories:

  • Religious Buildings (photos with a building or group of buildings as the main element)
  • Artefacts (photos with objects related to religious heritage as the main element)
  • People and Events (photos in which people or the party are the protagonists)

Prize

  • The winner will be invited to the FRH 2024 Conference (venue and date to be confirmed) with all costs covered up to a maximum of €1,000. Finalists will be able to attend the conference at their own expense.
  • FRH will also launch a special publication with photos of the winners and finalists in each category, which will be publicised throughout Europe.

Eligibility

  • Open to everyone, regardless of nationality or whether they are a professional photographer or not.
  • Each participant can send up to three photos per category.

Application

All the entries will be assessed by a jury made up of expert photographers, artists and FRH representatives, which is due to meet in the first week of December. The judges will select the three best photos in each category. Of these, one will be chosen as the overall winner and the other eight will be finalists.
