The European Commission (EC) has launched a call for proposals for Integrated Strategic Projects in the field of the Environment.
Scope
- Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) should aim for the full implementation of the strategies and plans listed in the “Objective.” This may not mean that the SIP will cover all actions foreseen in the strategy/plan or that the strategy/plan will be fully implemented during the SIP's lifespan. However, the SIP will include strategic actions to catalyze a process and mobilize additional commitments and funding that will, in due course, lead to the full implementation of the plan or strategy.
- The SIPs will promote the coordination and mobilization of other relevant Union, national or private funding sources for the implementation of complementary measures or actions outside the SIP within the framework of the targeted plan or strategy, giving preference to EU funding. However, within the SIP itself, co-financing may not come from other EU funding sources.
