Applications are now open for the Coda Story bags Bruno Reporting 2024-2025 . The fellowships support two 10-month reporting projects that culminate in a remarkable story to be published on Coda's website and on the websites of the editorial partners. The Bruno Reporting Fellowship was created to benefit budding journalists working in countries where journalism is under-resourced and issues pertinent to Coda's editorial concerns are under-examined.
Its aim is to create an environment where hungry budding journalists can learn and challenge themselves in a supportive and rigorous environment. Fellows will become a trusted part of the team and newsroom, be expected to contribute ideas and produce regular features, including at least one long article.
Benefits
- The Fellowship offers each scholar a grant of US$ 1,000 per month for 10 months. Pre-approved expenses will be covered separately.
- Throughout the fellowship, the reporter will benefit from mentoring, guidance and editorial support from Coda's editors and staff.
Eligibility
- This year, the scholarship is open to a Georgian reporter, who will contribute research and reporting on Coda's special collaboration with Stranger's Guide magazine.
- The scholarship is also open to a reporter of any nationality living in exile, who will work closely on a project linked to the experience of exile in the digital age.
- Candidates must have excellent written and spoken English and a track record of writing articles reported in English.
