The Girls Advisory Council is a unique platform where girls aged 14-22 from around the world collaborate virtually to ensure that girls' voices are at the forefront of She's the First initiatives. Council members work closely with STF staff, board members and students to provide valuable information about STF's programmes and find innovative ways to expand our reach and influence.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with a diverse group of girls representing the communities we serve.
- Work closely with STF staff, board members and students.
- Act as ambassadors during your mandate, participating in campaigns, advocacy efforts, online events and engagement.
- Two members will act as liaisons between the Board of Directors and the Girls' Advisory Council.
Who can apply:
- They identify as girls, including those with gender non-conforming experiences, fluid gender and transfeminine, aged between 14 and 22.
- Comfortable with English (speaking, reading and writing).
- Passionate about girls' rights or social justice.
Commitment:
- 1-3 hours per month from December 2023 to December 2024.
- Participation in monthly Council meetings and STF virtual events.
- Sharing STF initiatives with its online community.
- Providing contributions and suggestions in the WhatsApp group.
