Applications are now open for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme at the University of Cambridge 2024/2025 . The University of Cambridge programme is designed to provide talented students from Africa with fully funded opportunities to complete their master's degree, grow in transformative leadership and contribute to climate resilience and sustainability in Africa and the wider world.
The programme offers scholarships covering the full range of subjects at Cambridge, except for the following business courses: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Corporate Law (MCL), Master of Finance (MFin).
Eligibility
- To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a citizen of an African country;
- You must normally reside in an African country, unless you can present temporary absence for study/work with the intention of returning, or unless you have been displaced;
- You must be applying for a master's programme of up to one year's duration at the University of Cambridge.
Application
The application process begins with a request for admission to the University of Cambridge via the course directory, to be completed by the course funding deadline. The application for funding is incorporated into the course application process.
As part of the application process, prospective academics will be required to provide a supplementary statement indicating their personal commitment to contributing to resilient and secure futures for Africa.
Note:The deadline for submitting applications for funding is 5 December 2023 for courses with a deadline of 5 December and 5 January 2024 for courses with a deadline of 5 January. When making an application, pay close attention to the funding deadline.
