The McDonald Fellowships 2023 is an incredible opportunity launched by the International Multiple Sclerosis Federation. Are you a resident of a low- or middle-income country? Are you studying or working on a project in a low- or middle-income country? Is your field of study relevant to multiple sclerosis? Do you want to work in a research institution outside your own country? Do you want to work with an international organisation while remaining in your home country due to COVID-19 travel restrictions? This fully-funded scholarship is designed for candidates who fulfil the above questioning criteria. Participants are encouraged to take part in this scholarship, helping them to gain experience in their proposed research projects.
The fully funded international fellowship 2023 is tremendous for candidates who cannot afford to gain research experience in global dynamics. This opportunity expects candidates to utilise the experience and newly developed networks needed to carry out MS research and patient care in low- and middle-income countries. If students have been enrolled at a research institution and are unable to pay the fees, this scholarship opportunity will help them pay their dues. The scholarships are of two types; one scholarship is awarded in partnership with ECTRIMS (European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis) and is known as the MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship. Another scholarship is awarded in partnership with ARSEP and is known as the MSIF-ARSEP McDonald Fellowship.
The McDonalds Fellowship 2023 aims to help people become aware of the types of multiple sclerosis, causes of multiple sclerosis, symptoms of multiple sclerosis and other related advanced knowledge in a deeper way. The barriers to accessing MS healthcare and improving its treatment are wide-ranging and complex, and vary from country to country. While some of these challenges can be overcome locally; however, the interconnected world demands a globally viable and sustainable solution to this cause. To achieve this, MSIF is focused on working with national MS organisations to provide a solid action plan to tackle the health challenges of MS. Thus, your active association with the organisation will help you understand the tools, techniques and equipment needed from diagnosis to treatment.
The global opportunity in research projects is surrounded by MSIF's mission, which states that everyone must come together to improve the quality of life of all those victimised by multiple sclerosis. MSIF is based on the five critical objectives it aims to achieve in the coming years. The first is positive change in attitudes, policies and practices. The second is confident and informed decision-making. The third is greater scientific understanding and treatments. Fourth is improved access to healthcare and treatment. The fifth is to build a more robust and broader MSIF movement. To achieve these goals, MSIF has established an advanced system, filled gaps in the global research workforce, developed methods to measure research impact, increased funding for MS research, strengthened MS organisations and other related networks
