Applications are now open for the Einstein Scholarship 2025 The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation offer fellowships to outstanding young thinkers who wish to develop a project in a field different from their previous research. The aim of the fellowship is to support those who, in addition to producing excellent work in their area of expertise, are also open to other interdisciplinary approaches – following the example of Albert Einstein.
At the end of the fellowship period, the fellow must present their project in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. The Einstein Fellowship is not intended for candidates who wish to complete an academic study already begun.
Benefits
- The fellowship includes accommodation for five to six months at the garden cottage of Einstein's summer residence in Caputh, Brandenburg, a short distance from the universities and academic institutions of Potsdam and Berlin.
- The scholarship recipient will receive a grant of 10,000 euros and reimbursement of travel expenses.
Eligibility
- Candidates must be under 35 years of age and hold a university degree in humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
- A successful application must demonstrate the quality, originality, and feasibility of the proposed project, as well as the candidate's superior intellectual development. It is irrelevant whether the candidate has started working or currently holds a doctorate.
- The proposed project does not need to be fully completed during the scholarship period, but it can be the start of a longer project.
Application
Applications for 2025 must include a CV, a two-page project proposal, and two letters of recommendation. All documents must be received by June 1, 2024.
