In the four target countries, potential CSOs will become effective partners in a small grants mechanism to raise public awareness of citizens' digital rights and harness the internet for good governance and responsible participation.
Areas of Expertise
- Digital literacy - online safety, security children, harmful websites and how to protect digital spaces.
- Violence of gender online and/or cyberbullying
- Disinformation
Information on financing
- Two eligibility streams for which CSOs can apply:
- Flow 1: USD $50,000: Civil Society Organisation that is active or conducting Initiatives in areas of interest and is able to carry out awareness campaigns
- Flow 2: USD $4.000: Organisations that do not have experience in the areas of interest but are willing to participate in modules of training and carry out awareness-raising campaigns.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a registered civil society organisation
- Having a strong financial and administrative policy
- Move a strong community network in target communities, broad community awareness and/or engagement experience
- Good understanding of digital democracy issues
- Existing modules or those interested in participating on online safety, gender-based violence and disinformation
- Experience in advancement Human Rights in awareness campaigns
