Deadline: 31 March 2024

Applications are now open for the Humanitarian Reporting Fellowship 2024 . The fellowship is a six-month programme that offers a journalist from the Global South with a local focus the opportunity to acquire skills in reporting, framing and presenting local stories to global audiences as part of The New Humanitarian's global newsroom. Fellows will experiment with multimedia reporting techniques and develop reporting formats that emerge from and reflect their own communities.

Following the success of their first fellowship, which unearthed incredible talent in Nigeria, The New Humanitarian is excited to broaden their horizons even further. In this cycle, they are particularly interested in exploring the unique perspectives and narratives of the Middle East, along with other regions of the Global South. Their goal is to continue amplifying diverse voices that bring rich, localised insights to their global audience. They are looking for a fellow, who will work full-time.
