Deadline: 4 February 2024

Applications are now open for the Digital Humanism Scholarship 2024 from the Institute of Human Sciences . The scholarship aims to bring eminent academics from a wide range of academic fields to the Institute and enable them to carry out cutting-edge research into all aspects of the networked society.

Each semester, a Senior Visiting Fellow spends a one-month fellowship at the IWM. In addition, two Junior Visiting Fellows come to the Institute each semester, carry out their own research projects and enjoy the possibility of intensified collaboration and discussion with the Senior Visiting Fellow.

Generally, fellowships start on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the month.

Benefits

  • Post-doctoral candidates - i.e. those who have defended their doctorate by the scholarship application deadline - will receive a grant of 3,000 euros per month; candidates currently studying for their doctorate will receive a grant of 2,500 euros per month to cover accommodation, living expenses, travel, health insurance and any incidental costs related to their stay in Vienna.
  • In addition, the IWM offers fellows office space, including Internet access, in-house research and administrative facilities, as well as on-site lunch and other free services.
