One World Media Fellowship is aimed at aspiring journalists and filmmakers looking to make a career of reporting on stories from the global South. Working in film, print, audio or multimedia, the Fellows' projects bring together integrity and creativity to present underreported stories that break stereotypes and build cross-cultural connections.
One of the World Media Fellows are aspiring filmmakers and journalists ready to take the next leap in their reporting career from the global south. Looking for their first solo directing or investigative role, our Fellows experience and learn in a supportive environment. In 2023, they will select 10 international Fellows. Their Fellowship programme is a springboard for new talent covering stories globally with creativity and integrity. Selected fellows receive a £1000 production grant, one-to-one mentoring and an annual programme of industry workshops and webinars, while producing a non-fiction media piece.
