About the Programme
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme at the University of Cambridge is expected to enrol more than 500 scholars from various African countries between 2023 and 2030. These scholars will have the privilege of choosing from a wide range of master's programmes offered by the University of Cambridge. The mission of this initiative is clear: to create a network of young leaders capable of driving sustainable change across the African continent.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this life-changing scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of an African country.
- Residence: You must be habitually resident in an African country, unless you can demonstrate temporary absence to study or work with a clear intention of returning, or if you have been displaced.
- Course: You must enrol for a master's course of up to one year's duration at the University of Cambridge.
Application process
The application process is simple and consists of two main stages:
- Admission to the course: Start by applying for admission to the University of Cambridge via the course directory. Make sure you complete this stage by the course funding deadline. Course directory link
- Scholarship application: The scholarship application is integrated into the course application process. As part of this process, you will be asked to provide a supplementary statement highlighting your personal commitment to contributing to resilient and sustainable futures for Africa.

- Application Deadline (for courses with a 5th of January deadline): 5th January 2024
