Applications are now open for the Canon Female Photojournalist Grant 2024 . For the twenty-fourth consecutive year, Canon and Visa pour l'Image will award the prestigious Canon Female Photojournalist Scholarship to an outstanding female photographer in recognition of her contribution to photojournalism.
The Canon Photojournalist Scholarship is awarded to an active photojournalist who wishes to cover a social, economic, political or cultural issue in a journalistic way, by submitting a dossier including the stipulated documents and works.

Grant
- The €8,000 grant provides funding to support an attractive new project that will be presented as an exhibition at the 2025 festival.
Eligibility
- Candidates must have produced at least one photo story (published or not);
- Candidates must be professional photojournalists;
- Candidates must be able to write and speak in French and/or English.

- One signed enrolment form
- A copy of the applicant's identity card or passport
- Declaration that the candidate is a professional photojournalist (certificate of honour written by the photographer or by an agency or newspaper)
- A CV
- A letter of support for the application including a description of the photo reportage project (maximum 1 typed page). This letter must remain anonymous and must not contain anything that would allow the applicant to be identified
- A projected budget for the photo-reporting project for which the Grant will be used, if obtained. If the project funding is to be extended to other partners, they must be approved by Canon and Images Evidence, who reserve the right not to name them.
- A photo report in black and white or colour: between 10 and 20 photos
The application dossier must be sent by 21 May 2024 and must be sent without acknowledgement of receipt to the following FTP: ftp.images-evidence.com
