Innovate Now has helped launch 21 African assistive technology ventures over four acceleration cycles. The African start-ups receive mentoring, learning and specialised guidance over a period of 3 to 6 months to create market-appropriate, scalable and investable Assistive Technologies (AT).

Innovate Now is a partnership between the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), ICT Norway and Norad to recruit the next generation of cutting-edge disability innovators to drive Africa forward as a technological powerhouse. Based on AT2030 funding from UK aid, the next phase of Innovate Now will focus on Digital AT and Entrepreneurship.

More and more AT is digital or requires digital skills. Digital AT are cutting-edge technologies that support the full inclusion of people with disabilities. We are looking for innovation-driven start-ups that are improving access to Assistive Technology through digital means or offering digital Assistive Technology solutions in education, health, livelihoods and other sectors.
