About the NL grant
The NL Scholarship is a prestigious programme funded by the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Education The scholarship is awarded by the University of the Netherlands, Culture and Science, together with several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship offers a one-off award of €5,000 to successful applicants, which is awarded during the first year of studies. Although it offers significant financial support, it is important to note that this scholarship does not cover the full tuition fee.
How to register
Application Criteria
To be eligible for the NL scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Nationality : You must be a non-EEA national.
- Programme You must apply for a full-time bachelor's or master's degree programme at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
- Institutional requirements You must fulfil the specific admission requirements of your chosen institution. Detailed information can be found on the institution's website.
- Previous Education You must not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands.
Code of Conduct
Nuffic, the organisation that manages the NL scholarship, adheres to a strict Integrity Code of Conduct to ensure the ethical management of the programme. This code addresses issues such as financial misconduct, abuse of power and other unacceptable behaviour, including:
- Involvement in bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings
- Breach of tax or social security obligations
- Involvement in criminal activities, including money laundering or terrorism
- The creation of front companies
