Registration is now open for the Dyslexia Advocate Fellowship Programme 2025 . This innovative initiative is looking for passionate individuals interested in making a transformative difference to the lives of people with dyslexia in Africa. In this second group, their aim is to recruit two dedicated individuals from each of the 54 African countries and cultivate a team of advocates to spread awareness and raise support for individuals with dyslexia across Africa.
Advocates will have the opportunity to educate their communities about dyslexia; promote inclusive education and advocate for accommodations for those with this learning difference.
The details of the programme are as follows:
- Training: A comprehensive two-month module designed to empower fellows with vital advocacy skills.
- Duration of the scholarship: Two years (after 2 months of training and fulfilling all the requirements, you graduate as a Dyslexia Advocate and are ready to start your impact journey with the African Dyslexia Organisation for at least 2 years with a minimum of two projects per year in your community)

Eligibility
The candidate must:
- Be committed to the mission of the African Organisation for Dyslexia.
- Be between 18 and 55 years old.
- Have acquired a minimum of certified post-secondary training and qualifications.
- Be available to devote at least 2 years to the programme.
- Have a verifiable minimum of one year's volunteering and one year's professional experience.
An ideal candidate is one who:
- It is committed to the mission and vision of the African Dyslexia Organisation.
- They are flexible, independent and have a sense of effort and humour.
- Self-motivated and interested in voluntary work.
- Has the absorption capacity to learn on the project.
- Appreciates and respects other languages, cultures, religious and social norms.
- You have a lot of social media skills.
