Applications are now open for the IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2024/2025 . The IAEA's Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) seeks to inspire and support young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field. To this end, the MSCFP offers scholarships to selected students studying for a master's degree in nuclear-related subjects, as well as internship opportunities facilitated by the IAEA.

The programme supports young women studying in nuclear-related fields relevant to the IAEA's work to promote the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology, such as nuclear engineering, nuclear physics and chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotope techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety, nuclear security, non-proliferation and nuclear law.

Benefits

  • Students receive up to €20,000 for tuition fees and up to €20,000 for living expenses for the master's programme.

Eligibility

Open to students from IAEA Member States who meet the following entry requirements:

  • Female candidates.
  • Accepted or enrolled at an accredited university on a master's programme in a nuclear field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with above-average academic credentials (75% or higher or GPA> 3.0 out of 4.0).

Application

The documents required in addition to the completed online application form are:

  • Copy of Passport/Guard
  • Official letter of acceptance/admission to the master's programme from the university indicating the nuclear-related field of study and the duration of the programme
  • Tuition fee statement/confirmation of tuition fees
  • If applicable, documents about other scholarships you have for the master's programme for which you are seeking support from the MSCFP.
  • Completed reference templates sent directly to  MSCFP  by the referees by the registration deadline (download the form  here ). One reference is MANDATORY, the second is preferred.

NOTE:  All application documents must be submitted in English using the MSCFP online application form. If the documents are submitted in the original language, please also include the official English translation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
