In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the pan-African funding platform Sport en Commun is launching a call for "Sport and Health" projects. This initiative is funded by AFD and FIFA as part of their partnership agreement signed in June 2019.

Co-managed by La Guilde européenne du Raid and Sport en Commun, the project will fund sport and health initiatives of between €20,000 and €40,000 to make sport a response to the health and social crisis in Africa. All French and African organisations are eligible.

Eligibility

The call is open to African structures (associations, foundations, local authorities, companies, sports clubs, federations, GIE/GIC, National Olympic Committees, co-operatives, state structures, public structures, other declared groupings), as well as French associations and foundations.
The candidate's structure must have been registered for at least 2 years.
The structure's annual resources must not exceed €500,000. 
Any French association or foundation application must implement its project in partnership with a local structure.
The project should take place in Africa.

All 54 countries are eligible, except for the red zones defined by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The project must have an implementation period of between 1 and 3 years. - years.
The project should use sport as a tool for health and well-being. -
The funding granted must not exceed 75% of the general project budget, excluding the - evaluation.

Entries will be scrutinised by the Sport en Commun teams, AFD, FIFA e The European Raid Guild, as well as a panel of experts in the field.

The final list of selected projects will be announced by the end of November and each project will be the subject of a detailed presentation on the Sport en Commun platform.
