Applications are now open for the RES4Africa Foundation Executive School 2024 The RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with the Enel Foundation, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the European Investment Bank (EIB), and in collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management and SDA Bocconi, is pleased to announce the 11th edition of the Executive School. This prestigious program, created in 2014, aims to equip high-performing individuals with the essential technical, economic, and regulatory skills needed to promote renewable energy solutions in Africa's evolving electricity markets.
The Executive School will take place from November 25th to December 6th, 2024 in Milan, Italy, and will be taught entirely in English. It is tailored for senior institutional and high-level managers and professionals from various sectors, including public institutions, energy companies, universities, and research agencies across Africa. This year, the program also welcomes doctoral or master's level students and researchers from Italian universities, increasing the diversity and experience among participants.
Participants in the Executive School will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum comprised of 80 hours of lectures delivered by international experts and industry professionals. The program includes hands-on sessions, group activities, and site visits designed to provide practical experience and foster a holistic understanding of renewable energy integration in diverse energy contexts.

- The full scholarship will cover flights, accommodation, meals, transportation, lectures, tuition fees, labs, and factory visits for 40 African managers. Please note that only African professionals will be eligible for the full scholarship.
Eligibility
The Executive School is open to candidates who are senior and mid-level professionals and managers from Sub-Saharan Africa and from SEMC public institutions, national authorities, energy companies, energy and implementation agencies, research institutes, TSOs, DSOs, research institutions and civil society organizations.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Being a citizen of an African country;
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience in the energy sector;
- To be eligible to travel to Italy. All applicants are advised to check well in advance the procedure applicable to their specific case;
- To be fully proficient in English.
Application
Potential participants must complete the application form, submit a Curriculum Vitae, a Letter of Motivation, a Letter of Reference, a copy of their passport and, if applicable, a valid EU Visa. The deadline for applications is August 31, 2024, with acceptance notifications sent by September 12, 2024.
