Apply to join GLFx Chapter Network ! The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is calling on local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and grassroots initiatives to join the GLFx network as local chapters. Selected organisations will have access to various opportunities and resources to support sustainable landscapes around the world, with a specific focus on Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

GLFx is an opportunity-creating network of local organisations, community and grassroots initiatives, known as GLFx chapters, transforming landscapes from the ground up and advocating for political change. From planting native trees to implementing regenerative agriculture, facilitating public dialogue and creating their own community-led solutions, GLFx chapters are at the forefront of change in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Through the GLFx network, chapters take advantage of opportunities and partnerships for networking, learning, exposure to the media and global events, and access to seed funding for sustainable and inclusive landscape management.

Benefits

The selected organisations will be part of the GLFx network and will have access to opportunities for: 

• Networking and peer learning through the GLFx community and GLF founding members
• Global prominence: regional and global publicity support, storytelling opportunities through GLF events and platforms.
• Learning and knowledge sharing: personalised learning programmes, links with scientific experts
• Funding: internal calls for proposals, access to funding and other fundraising opportunities.

• Representing and working with local communities in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. 
• They are led by people from the organisation's geographical area of operation.
• Focus on landscape restoration and management for sustainable livelihoods and land use, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, justice and inclusion.
• Promote collaboration and partnerships between communities and landscape actors.
• They are well organised, with an administrative structure to potentially receive and administer resources.

They would especially encourage applications from groups with: 

• Proven experience in mobilising actors to facilitate local action 
• A strong commitment to promoting sustainable landscapes and restoration
• Existing partnerships and dialogues with other stakeholders in the landscape 
• Diverse team: diversity and inclusion will be taken into account in the selection process.

Expectations

If your organisation becomes a GLFx chapter, you are expected to: 

• Assign a focal point to liaise with the GLF
• Attend regular meetings with the GLF team and other chapters
• Get involved with regular opportunities shared by the GLF team (learning, knowledge co-creation, highlighting, networking, funding calls or alerts)
• Regularly update the GLF on activities in the field.
• Take advantage of existing activities to connect people, share knowledge locally and globally, develop learning opportunities for the community and/or lead actions on the ground.
