Exciting news! The 2024 edition of the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is now accepting entries. If you're passionate about migration, diversity and social inclusion, this is your chance to show your creativity and make a difference.
What is PLURAL+?
The PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is a special initiative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). It is a platform that invites young people from all over the world to share their unique perspectives on pressing global issues through original and imaginative videos.
Why take part?
By submitting your video to PLURAL+, you're not just creating art - you're becoming a voice for positive change. In a world often divided by intolerance, PLURAL+ empowers young people to promote understanding and acceptance through the power of storytelling.
Who can enter?
If you're under 25 and have a story to tell about migration, diversity, social inclusion or combating xenophobia, we want to hear from you! You can take part in one of three age categories:
? 12 years old or less ? 13 to 17 years old ? 18 to 25 years old
Your video can be of any genre - animation, documentary, music video, comedy, you name it! As long as it provokes meaningful conversations about PLURAL+'s themes, you're welcome here.
How do I get in?
Submitting your video is easy. Just make sure it meets the following criteria:
? Length: Between 1 and 5 minutes ? Language: English or with English subtitles ? Production date: After 1st January 2021
If your video is selected, you'll need to provide a digital copy in one of several formats. And don't worry about technical perfection - we value creativity and storytelling above all else!
Recognition and Partnerships
Filmmakers whose videos are recognised will receive digital certificates. Even if your video doesn't win, you'll still receive a certificate of participation. In addition, PLURAL+ is supported by a network of international partners who are passionate about amplifying the voices of young people.
