Applications are now open for the Women PeaceMakers Fellowship Programme 2024-2025. Since 2002, the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) at the University of San Diego's Kroc School has hosted the Women PeaceMakers Fellowship programme. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity for peacebuilders who focus on issues of gender, peace and conflict to engage in a cycle of learning, practice, research and participation that strengthens peacebuilding partnerships.
The Women PeaceMakers Fellowship facilitates impactful collaborations between peacebuilders from conflict-affected communities and international partner organisations. Fellows also co-create research aimed at shaping the field of peacebuilding and highlighting good practices for the design and implementation of peacebuilding.

Benefits
- Scholars will receive a grant of US$ 15,000, plus expenses for their participation in the programme.
Eligibility
- Anyone who considers themselves a peacebuilder working to reduce cycles of violence by focusing on gender, peace and conflict can apply.
- People of all genders, including transgender and non-binary or gender fluid people, are eligible for a fellowship. The Women PeaceMakers Fellowship programme does not consider sex, gender or any other protected status as part of the application and selection process.
- Applicants can come from any country, as long as they can travel to the United States for their residency.
- Applicants must have at least five years' experience in peacebuilding and speak sufficient English to participate fully in the fellowship activities.

To apply, candidates must:
- Provide basic personal and contact information.
- Answer short, open questions about why they are interested in the scholarship, the experience that makes them suitable for the scholarship and the specific topic for that year, and their interest or experience in carrying out research.

- Be willing to take part in public events and share your experiences and information with the Kroc IPJ team and the general public.
- Have sufficient English skills to be able to participate in cohort meetings, share experiences at public events and take part in research meetings.
