The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) EE 30 Under 30 highlights these change agents who demonstrate passion, commitment and leadership using environmental education. Environmental education (EE) and leadership come in many forms! The aim is to recognise leaders with diverse backgrounds, who reach different audiences and bring a diversity of perspectives to EE. They strongly encourage nominations from all sectors and disciplines. They welcome nominees who are:
- Working on any scale: local, national, regional or global, just to name a few!
- In any position or role: community organiser, director, consultant, artist, teacher and much more.
- Use education in any context: in schools, companies, communities, religious groups, networks, government, media - you name it!

- Nominees must be 30 years old or younger (on 31 December 2024). If you're over 30, you can still nominate someone else!
- Nominees can come from anywhere in the world.
- Nominations must be in English, but your nomination will not be judged on your English language ability.
- Nominees should use EE to address sustainability issues, build a more inclusive environmental movement and/or create healthier and more civically engaged communities.
- Nominees should demonstrate some leadership in EE, but you don't have to be in a leadership position to demonstrate leadership! This can include (but is not limited to!) inspiring others to act towards a shared vision, listening to and acting on the needs of their community, innovating in the face of challenges, creating inclusive environments for participation and involvement, and much more. more.
- Video requirement: all nominees need to send a short introductory video (90 seconds maximum) and provide a letter of support. Take a look at the application, whether it's yourself or someone else, to understand these requirements.
