Registration for the Emerging Young Entrepreneurs Program 2024 Applications are now open. The Emerging Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) Program is a year-long program designed to support Gen Z and millennial minority entrepreneurs.

The EYE program is designed exclusively to provide the next generation of minority entrepreneurial participants, aged 19 to 35, with support to improve their growing businesses. Business owners will receive mentorship from corporate sponsors, MBEs, and additional stakeholders. EYE will utilize an interactive curriculum that includes development sessions, practical applications, corporate mentors, and best practices to implement immediately in their business. Participants receive skills, tools, and strategies to start or expand their innovative businesses.

Main objectives

This program examines proven best practices for addressing common business issues that Generation Z and Generation Y face in the context of today's business environment, with the following objectives:

  • Learn five key methods for running a successful business.
  • Develop strategies to anticipate organizational needs and implement innovative responses.
  • Receive professional development and access to top business leaders and corporate executives.
  • Understand the processes in the supply chain and the benefits of developing these relationships.
  • Obtain the industry's gold standard business certification for minority-owned companies.

  • Ages 19 to 35 (from the registration deadline).
  • Citizen of the United States.
  • It must be at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by minority shareholders.
  • It must be a for-profit company and be physically located in the U.S. or its territories.
  • The administration and daily operations shall be carried out by the minority partner(s). 
  • Ownership, in the case of a public company, means that at least 51% of the shares belong to one or more members of minority groups.

Program expectations

  • Don't miss more than 4 live development sessions.
  • Apply for the NMSDC MBE certification by June 1, 2024.
  • Participation in the video pitch competition.
  • Participate in the NMSDC National Conference.
  • Meet with your mentor at least once a month.
  • Complete all assessments and research.

Application

The registration deadline is March 8, 2024. The 2024 EYE cohort will run from April 1, 2024 to February 27, 2025.
