Registration is now open for the Johns Hopkins Gender Equity/GBV Evidence Accelerator Fellowship 2024 This inaugural one-year cohort program offers sponsored mentoring and curated courses through the Johns Hopkins University Center for Global Women's Health and Gender Equity (CGWHE) for practitioners, professionals, and academics involved in gender equity work, including those focused on gender-based violence (GBV), especially in low- and middle-income settings.
This part-time fellowship develops skills in evidence generation, synthesis/analysis, and translation for gender equity and GBV. Fellows complete selected courses offered by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) and receive ongoing mentorship from CGWHE faculty within a group experience designed for networking and professional development, including 1-2 in-person cohort meetings throughout the year. Ongoing activities are virtual, with selected in-person meetings to allow for connectivity. Fellows will complete a mini-project focused on gender equity/GBV, such as secondary analysis of research data or evidence synthesis, with guidance and data analysis support from CGWHE faculty. Estimated time commitment: 10 hours per week on average, up to 20 hours/week during course weeks, plus travel to conferences.

Scholarships
- The scholarship will cover the participant's travel expenses, course registration, and faculty orientation. No compensation will be offered for the participant's time.
Eligibility
- Ideal candidates include, among others, those working in the field of gender equity and/or VG in roles including program monitoring and evaluation; community researchers; practitioners; and doctoral students outside the U.S.
- Candidates should have some experience in this area and must demonstrate a need for additional skills in evidence-based gender equality/GBV research, programs and/or policies to accelerate the impact of their work and further their career goals.
