Applications are now open for the GSK Fellowships for Future Healthcare Leaders 2024-2025 Three scholarships are offered to support the training and development of the next generation of leaders in global health and to strengthen the capacity of health systems and health-related research in Africa.

These highly competitive scholarships are available for applicants wishing to study in a one-year, full-time, London-based (in-person) Master's program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

Scholarships

Three scholarships are available for the 2024-25 academic year. Each scholarship will cover:

• tuition fees, including any mandatory field trip fees, and
• a tax-free allowance (living allowance) of GBP 19,500.

Eligibility

To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must:

• be nationals and residents of sub-Saharan African countries; and
• They intend to return to Sub-Saharan Africa after completing their master's year at LSHTM; and
• to confirm that they would otherwise be unable to afford the proposed study program, by submitting the Scholarship Application Form; and
• meet LSHTM's minimum English language requirements; and
• to possess a first diploma at the equivalent level of first or second class higher, and
• Maintain an offer of admission for 2024-25 for one of LSHTM's intensive master's study programs based in London.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate (in their application documents) the potential to make significant contributions to public health and/or health-related research in Africa.

Application

The application process has two stages. To be considered for funding, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and complete both stages described below by the scholarship deadline, 11:59 p.m. (GMT) on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Step 1

• Submit an application for 2024-25 for a  Master's degree program based in London , as instructed in the 'How to apply' section on the relevant study program page.

Step 2

• In your application to study, you must select the scholarships you are applying for in the 'FUNDING DETAILS' section of the application form. If you do not select the GSK Fellowships for Future Health Leaders in your application, you will not be considered for this funding.
• Attach a  Scholarship Application Form  Your application to study has been completed in Step 1. A completed Scholarship Application Form must be uploaded as part of this application. This is the  unique  Scholarship attachment required (as applicants should have already submitted references, academic transcripts, resume, etc., as part of their study application).
