Applications are now open for the Kanthari Impact Leadership Course for Changemakers 2024 . Kanthari offers a twelve-month programme that will help participants develop all the skills and tools they need to succeed as agents of social change, so that they can start and run their own CSOs/NGOs, social enterprises or social ventures.

- Green Kantharis: kanthari initiators want to create ethical social change by initiating grassroots projects with alternative/new approaches. Schools for the marginalised, training centres for the blind, environmental projects - these are just a few of the many examples of initiatives that have a positive impact on society.
- Yellow Kantharis: Yellow Kantharis are inventors who create new products, strategies or concepts for social change. They can work in the fields of the environment, computer technology, accessibility for people with disabilities, agriculture, education and much more. The aim of their invention is to improve the living conditions of marginalised groups or to protect the environment.
- Orange Kantharis: Orange Kanthari entrepreneurs use business as a tool for sustainable social change. The main objective is to create a positive social impact and not to focus solely on profit, but to use business ventures to find ways to create structures that benefit those who are normally left out.
- Red Kantharis: Red Kantharis are defenders/activists who advocate for a world free of discrimination, negative attitudes or harmful norms. Their aim is to bring about a change of mentality in their communities through advocacy.
- Purple Kantharis: Kanthari artists use their creativity and art as a tool to make a difference. Musicians, painters, authors, filmmakers and many more bring about a positive change in mentality through their work.

- Selected participants will qualify for a scholarship provided by their donors to cover training and accommodation fees.
- Graduates of the programme will have access to a network of change agents from more than 50 countries around the world.
Eligibility
- Open to candidates over the age of 22 (there is no upper age limit) who have overcome significant life challenges, from visual impairment, disability, poverty, war, discrimination and/or exploitation, or who may also be witnesses to social situations that they wish to change so that others don't suffer.
- They must have the passion to make the world a better place and the strength to be forces for good rather than victims of circumstances.
- Candidates must speak and understand basic English and have basic computer skills.

The next kanthari course starts in April 2024 ONLINE and in May 2024 on campus in Kerala.
